Should you use Uber for business?

I'll confess: I love Uber. And I think I did a pretty good job of hiding my profound feelings for this story. I spoke to a couple lawyers to ask the question: are small businesses liable if they send their employees off in an unregulated Uber instead of a licensed taxi? As in, will they get their boss butts sued if something horrible happens to their employee? Somehow among all that lawyer speak, I gathered that most businesses covered under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of Ontario (WSIB) are generally not responsible. BUT it's a lot more complicated than that. Read more of this "should you, should you not" at the Globe and Mail
