RYERSON MAGAZINE: Design things you're scared of

My favourite part about interviewing architect Melissa Mazik was that I barely interviewed her. We mostly talked about where we've travelled, how we've travelled, and why travel is so good for the soul. As an architect, Melissa only knew the clean, conservative lines of Canadian buildings. After going to Spain, Portugal, Morocco and India, she saw fresh creativity and learned her most important lesson: design things you're scared of. Here's my profile [PDF] on Melissa Mazik for Ryerson Magazine.
